disclaimer first: i am a newbee to fiannce/economics.but here is my comment anyways:Increasingly financial institutions all over the world are inter-linked. The banks in surplus countries probably have lot of toxic stuff from deficit countries. And the whole globalization and electronically inter-linked markets/banks etc make it tightly coupled and not decoupled.Risk is spread all over the world. Surplus or Deficit, will probably help the country but not individual/private banks/institutions.

Nov18 I just wish to say that SK and Zuneinsider along with my zune have created my new faotrive hobby.I liken it to searching for gold on a beach with my metal detector. I hate radio, and I love looking for new great things, that no one truely appreciates. Some days you guys help me strike it big. Not so great on others, and it bugs me when I go for a week or two without truely being enveloped in GREAT Music. THANK YOU SK!!!!!
